Milica Vučković was born in 1989 in Belgrade. She finished painting at the Faculty of Applied Arts, where she defended her doctorate.She has been a member of the art association ULUPUDS, since 2014 with the status of an independent artist, and has over ten independent painting exhibitions behind her. The first book, a collection of short stories, was published by Roy in 2014. In 2017, she won the first prize at the Biber Short Story Contest for people with no legs. In 2020, she made it to the finals of the FEKP competition, also for a short story. She published her first novel Baldwin in 2018 and he was shortlisted for the Vital Award, as well as the Biljana Jovanovic Award. For the novel Death Outcome of Athletic Injuries, she received the Vital Award for the best book in the Serbian language published in 2021. Roman was also shortlisted for the Nin Award, as well as shortlisted for the Belgrade Winner Award. Vučković writes both prose and poetry, her poems have been published in several literary magazines such as Phantom of Liberty, Pancevo Manuscripts, Charter, St. He lives and works in Belgrade and Herceg Novi.
