Teona Strugar Mitevska dijete umjetnika, rođena je 1974. godine u Skopju, Sjeverna Makedonija. U djetinjstvu se bavila glumom, studirala je slikarstvo i grafički dizajn, a potom je završila magistarske studije filma u Tisch školi za umjetnost Univerziteta u New Yorku. Kao rediteljka je debitirala 2001. sa kratkim filmom VETA, a potom je režirala filmove: Kako sam ubio sveca (2004), Ja sam iz Titovog Velesa (2007), Žena koja je obrisala suze (2012), Teresa i ja (2013), Bezimeni dan (2017) i Bog postoji, zove se Petrunija koji je snimila 2018, a premijerno je prikazan u takmičarskom programu Filmskog festivala u Berlinu. Od svoga osnivanja, njena produkcijska kuća Sestre i brat Mitevski koproducirala je filmove Drvo divlje kruške reditelja Nurija Bilgea Ceylana, Noćni život reditelja Damjana Kozole i Sieranevada u režiji Christija Puiuja. Francusko ministarstvo kulture 2018. godine odlikovalo ju je Ordenom viteza umjetnosti.

Film Bog postoji, njeno ime je Petrunija rediteljke Teone Strugar Mitevske dobitnik je filmske nagrade Luks Evropskog parlamenta za 2019. godinu, objavio je u sredu u Strazburgu predsednik Evropskog parlamenta David Sašoli. Dugometražni igrani film Teone Strugar Mitevske nastao je u makedonsko-belgijsko-slovensko-hrvatsko-francuskoj koprodukciji.

Bezimeni dan je priča o izgubljenoj generaciji oštećenoj društvenim prevratima na Balkanu. Glavnu glumačku ekipu čine novajlije Leon Ristov, Hanis Bagašov, Stefan Kitanović, Dragan Miševski, Ivan Vrtev Soptrajanov, Igorčo Postolov, Perunika Kiselički, Ines Hodić i Erina Poplavska, plus sestra rediteljke i producent filma, poznata makedonska glumica Labina Mitevska. Scenario su zajedno napisale Mitevska i Elma Tataragić, priznata francuska snimateljica Anjes Godar bila je DoP, a Stefan Stabenov i Sophie Vercruisse, Suvenir [uredio sliku.

Teona Strugar Mitevska a child of the artist, was born in 1974 in Skopje, northern Macedonia. As a child, she practiced acting, studied painting and graphic design, and then completed a master’s degree in film at Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. She made her directorial debut in 2001 with the short film VETA, and then directed the films: How I Killed a Saint (2004), I'm from Tito's Veles (2007), The Woman Who Wiped Tears (2012), Teresa and I (2013), Nameless Day (2017) and God Exists, her name is Petrunya, which she shot in 2018, and premiered in the competition program of the Berlin Film Festival. Since its founding, her production company Sisters and Brother Mitevski has co-produced the films Wild Pear Tree by director Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Night Life by Damjan Kozola and Sieranevad directed by Christie Puiu. In 2018, the French Ministry of Culture awarded her the Order of the Knight of Arts.

The Nameless Day is a story about a lost generation damaged by social upheavals in the Balkans. The main cast consists of newcomers Leon Ristov, Hanis Bagashov, Stefan Kitanovic, Dragan Misevski, Ivan Vrtev Soptrajanov, Igorco Postolov, Perunika Kiselicki, Ines Hodic and Erina Poplavska, plus the director's sister and film producer, famous Macedonian actress Labina Mitevska.
