tanja bakicTanja Bakić (14.09.1981) je završila studije anglistike na Univerzitetu Crne Gore, zvanično postavši prvi student u istoriji ovog Univerziteta koji je diplomirao na temi koja se odnosi na rock muziku („Uticaji poezije Vilijama Blejka na rok muziku Džima Morisina“). Magistrirala je iz engleske književnosti temom „Traganje za onostranim u poeziji Vilijama Blejka“, a usavršavanje iz engleske književnosti imala je na Harvardu i na Univerzitetkom koledžu London. Iz iste oblasti je i na doktorskim studijama kao stipendista Ministarstva nauke. Dobitnica je nagrade Srednjoevropske inicijative za književnost, stipendije britanske Asocijacije za istraživanja u modernim humanističkim naukama, rezidencije Internacionalne kuće autora u Gracu (Austrija), stipendije Foruma slovenskih kultura, Cankarjeve rezidencije u Ljubljani, Traduki rezidencija za gradove Tirana i Novo mesto, a rezidencijalno je takođe boravila i u Pragu, te i u drugim evropskim gradovima. Dva puta je po izboru međunarodnog Žirija istoričara umjetnosti bila izabrana za predstavnika Crne Gore na Bijenalu umjetnika Evrope i Mediterana (Ankora 2013 i Milano 2015).

Dva puta je bila pozvani govornik na skupu o Vilijamu Blejku u galeriji Tejt Britan u Londonu. Internacionalni izdavač Bloomsbury objavio je njeno poglavlje u monografiji William Blake in Europe. Svoju poeziju je čitala širom Evrope. Njena poezija je kroz časopise i antologije prevođena na 20 stranih jezika. Među časopisima u kojima su zastupljeni njeni stihovi, izdvajaju se: Words Without Borders, Modern Literature, Rochford Street Review, Bosphorous Review of Books, Recours au Poème, Isla Negra, Trafika Europe, New Responsibility (Atina, povodom 150 godina od smrti Kavafija), Oda ... Izbor iz antologija u kojima su zastupljeni njeni stihovi: Voix de la Méditeranée (Éditions La passe du vent, 2012), World Haiku 2016 (Tokyo: World Haiku Association, 2016), Capitals (New Delhi: Bloomsbury, 2017), Balkanska roza (Sofija: Pen Bulgaria, 2017) Arbolarium: Antologia poetica de los cinco continentes (Bogota, 2019), Balkan Poetry Today (Bristol: Red Hand Books, 2018)... Bila je urednica crnogorskog izdanja svjetskog festivala poezije Palabra en el mundo (Riječ u svijetu), osnovanog od strane Svjetskog pokreta za poeziju). Po mišljenju Lesa Viksa, vodećeg australijskog pjesnika, Bakić spada među 16 pjesnika iz cijelog svijeta aktivnih na međunarodnoj pjesničkoj mapi festivala, koji na „autentičan način boje svjetsku poeziju“.

Na Cobiss Crna Gora zastupljena je s 167 bibliografske jedinice.

Prvu pjesmu je napisala u sedmoj godini života, a prvu zbirku poezije u 15 godini života. Posvećena je isključivo poeziji, i nikada taj žanr nije mijenjala.

Tanja Bakić (14.09.1981) Podgorica-based poet, literary translator and music writer, Tanja Bakić was born 14 September 1981 in Montenegro. She is currently pursuing a PhD in English Literature, specializing in the works of the British Romantic poet and painter William Blake. She was a visiting researcher at Harvard and at University College London. She was twice a speaker at William Blake colloquium at the Tate Britain in London. She authored a chapter in The reception of William Blake in Europe published by Bloomsbury in 2019. She was the winner of the Central European Initiative Fellowship Prize in Literature in 2016. Her other fellowships come from: Ministry of Science of Montenegro, Modern Humanities Research Association, International House of Authors in Graz (Austria), Slovenian Public Fund for Cultural Activities, Forum of Slavic Cultures, Traduki (Berlin-based European network for literature) in Novo mesto and in Tirana, etc. She was twice chosen by the international board of art critics for the Montenegrin representative at the Biennial of the Artists of Europe and Mediterranean – in Milan (2015) and in Ancona (2013). She has been an invited guest at various international poetry festivals, and has served several international AiR programmes. Her poetry has been translated into some 20 foreign languages through magazines and anthologies, such as: Modern Literature, Rochford Street Review, Words Without Borders, Recours au Poème, Bosphorus Review of Books, Trafika Europe, Arbolarium, Antologia poética de los cinco continents (Buenos Aires: Editorial echarper, 2019), Capitals (New Delhi: Bloomsbury, 2017) World Haiku (Tokyo: World Haiku Association, 2016), Voix de la Méditeranée (La passe du vent, 2012), and the like.  She is chosen by the Australian poet Les Wicks among only sixteen writer across the globe to “bring something unique to the world poetry movement“.

She produced 4 poetry volumes which received numerous critical accolades. Her most recent published poetry translation work into Montenegrin is Landing Light by the award-winning Scottish poet, Don Paterson (2018). Her latest musical non-fiction work is Brian Jones i njegov bend (Brian Jones and His Band, 2019), also featuring her interview with Michael Lindsay Hogg, who directed promotional films for the Rolling Stones.
